Digital ID: I’ve been sitting with something heavy on my heart for a while, and it’s time I put it into words. I’m not writing this to change your mind. I’m not here to convince you of anything. I’m sharing this because I believe something’s happening right now, and I want to speak truthfully and from the gut. Some will agree. Some won’t. That’s okay. But I’m going to be honest.
What I See Happening
Over the last few years, we’ve seen the world change in ways most of us never expected. We lived through a global pandemic that brought lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates. We were told what we could do, where we could go, who we could see. And most notably, many of us were told we had to get a vaccine.
Now, I know what some of you are thinking: “You weren’t forced.” But let’s be real. If you were told you couldn’t travel, couldn’t work, couldn’t eat in a restaurant or go to the theatre unless you complied — that’s coercion. That’s a pressure test. It felt like the world was checking who would submit and who wouldn’t. And a lot of people did.
Now, in 2025, we’re seeing digital ID systems being rolled out. Quietly, subtly, but with force behind them. People are already reporting that they can’t start a business or access certain services without submitting to these new ID requirements. Scan your face. Verify your details. Plug into the system. Or be left out.
This isn’t a future possibility anymore. It’s already happening.
Why It Concerns Me
When I read Revelation, I don’t pretend to understand every metaphor or prophecy. It’s a deep, complex book. But one thing that stands out is the mention of a mark — on the hand or forehead — without which no one can buy or sell. And I look at the way our world is heading, and something inside me says: this could be the beginning.
First it was something in the arm. Then it’s something on the phone. What comes next? A chip in the hand? Sounds dramatic, I know. But they’re already testing it in parts of Europe. It starts as optional. Cool, even. Then it becomes normal. Then expected. Then required.
Am I saying this is the Mark of the Beast? No. I’m not a prophet. I’m not claiming divine insight. But I am saying that it looks like we’re heading in that direction, and I can’t ignore the pattern.
It’s also worth noting that Christian persecution is already happening worldwide. In places like Nigeria, believers are being killed for their faith. In the UK, street preachers are being warned that speaking biblical truth is a hate crime. If a one-world system did come in, fully digital, fully centralized, and run by someone hostile to Christians — how easy would it be to simply switch off believers from society?
That’s not paranoia. That’s a logical possibility when everything you do is tied to one digital system controlled from the top.
I’m Not Here to Preach Fear
I’m not writing this to cause panic. I don’t want people living in fear. What I want is for people to be awake. To pay attention. To question what’s going on and prepare themselves spiritually.
More than anything, I believe this is a time to turn to Jesus. Because if this is the beginning of something bigger — and I personally believe it might be — then the only safe place to be is in right relationship with God.
I’m a businessman. I care about my future. My family. My finances. But I care more about my soul. And I don’t want to be someone who goes along with the system just because it’s easier. I want to be ready to stand when it matters.
So take this as a warning if you like, or just as a perspective. But either way, take it seriously. Not everything is a conspiracy. But not everything is innocent either.
We are in strange times. Maybe the last days. Maybe not. But either way, we should live like Jesus could return at any moment.
Because one day, He will.
Get right with Him. Stay alert. And don’t blindly follow the crowd.
