1. How To Start A Hotel Business In The UK: You Don’t Have To Own The Property!
You don’t need to own property to get into the hotel business! You can rent the building, and then run it as your own hotel.
This is what large companies such as Premier Inn do, and you can do it too, starting with very little money. You can also often obtain a lease option agreement allowing you to buy the property in the future at a fixed price, should you wish to.
2. How To Start A Hotel Business In The UK: Systemise The Business Without Front Desk Staff!
The old way of running a hotel involves employing a lot of staff. In many cases, it also involves being at the property yourself to conduct the day-to-day management. This takes a lot of time and money. Sometimes, it isn’t even profitable!
The modern way to run a hotel is to systemise it! Guests self check-in via key safes. Cleaners come in when guests check-out. This saves time and money. Guests love it, too, because they can go directly to their rooms! It can be highly profitable, and is exactly what I teach my students!
3. How To Start A Hotel Business In The UK: Get Long-Term Bookings!
Marcin and Kasha’s hotel is often booked by contractors. This means longer term bookings. Reaching out to businesses who may want to book the entire property for longer stays is a great way to ensure occupancy.
Don’t just rely on sites like Airbnb and Booking.com to help you find customers, spend time reaching out to businesses in the area too. This is key to success as a modern hotel!
