Migrant Hotels In The UK: I was asked to use my hotel to house illegal immigrants. I said “no”! This led me to be interviewed on Talk TV! In the interview, I speak about exactly why I turned down a tempting offer to rent my hotel, Willingham House in Cambridgeshire, to be used to house migrants!
In the video, I explain exactly how much I was offered, and expose the massive taxpayer funded industry of migrant hotels in the UK!
If you want to learn exactly how the system of migrant hotels works, and why so many property owners are saying yes to these contracts, make sure to watch my full interview. People will have different views when it comes to illegal immigration and asylum seekers. But my hotel is not the right place for them! In this article, I will give you 3 reasons I turned down a lucrative contract to house illegal immigrants in Willingham House. Whatever your view on this topic in general, I think you will agree with my decision by the end of the article!
I want to share the story of migrant hotels in the UK from a landlord's perspective. But I need your help to do it! Please would you consider sharing this blog post on your social media pages? We need more people to understand the issue, so something can be done about it! Sharing this article is a small, but important, step to fixing this issue.
1. Migrant Hotels In The UK: The Government Is Spending Large Sums Of Our Money!
The government is spending thousands of pounds per month to house each asylum seeker. Local people on benefits get a lot less! UK citizens and legal migrants have paid into the system, but people who haven’t paid into the system are treated better than them! This is unfair.
My property, Willingham House, is a stunning high-end hotel. There is no reason that people who have arrived to the UK illegally should be housed in such luxury! Offering extremely generous handouts only encourages people to make the dangerous journey across the English Channel.
2. Migrant Hotels In The UK: It Would Be Bad For Local People!
Willingham House in Cambridgeshire is located in a beautiful community. Having unvetted people move, in large numbers, to the area would have been detrimental. It would have effected people’s house prices and put an unnecessary strain on the area.
While business is important, it is also important to do the right thing whenever possible. I simply didn’t think it would be right to accept this contract – so I didn’t!
3. Migrant Hotels In The UK: I Am Doing Well, So I Have The Choice!
Because of all the rules, regulations and taxes landlords now face, many property owners may feel accepting contracts to house illegal immigrants is their only option. Most landlords only own a few properties, and are really struggling to get by, due to the government’s actions.
Luckily, I am not in that position. Because I am an expert in using creative property strategies and finding amazing property deals, I am in a position to turn down offers I don’t agree with. My mission as a property trainer is to get as many people into the same position as possible.
