The government is bringing in new rules for landlords that could spell disaster for many. They have proposed bringing in: national insurance tax for landlords; reducing the threshold for VAT (hurting serviced accommodation providers); and even a ‘wealth tax’ by the backdoor in the form of a property tax on homes above £500k!

While the prevailing narrative is doom and gloom, there is also a lot of buying going on! While one set of investors are exiting the market, another is investing heavily. So what is really happening? Who is buying, and who is selling?

1. New Rules For Landlords: They Are Coming For Regular People!

These new rules for landlords are designed to force individual landlords out of business, in my opinion.

They want people to sell up and move on, so that banks and massive international institutions can buy up residential homes. While they will present this as an attack on the rich, this is really an attack on the middle class!

2. New Rules For Landlords: They Are Protecting The Rich!

When Section 24 came in, which prevented landlords from claiming mortgage interest as tax-deductible, there was an exception for companies. That’s because the super rich and the corporations mainly buy that way.

I predict the same thing will happen with these new changes. They either won’t apply to large companies, or there will be loopholes for the rich to use. The rules are made by the rich, for the rich!

3. New Rules For Landlords: I Am Teaching Regular People The Tricks The Rich Use!

As a multimillionaire property investor, I will have access to these intentionally created legal loopholes. Just like everyone else at my level, I will use them to reduce my tax bill. I will also use property investment strategies that keep me extremely profitable, regardless of market conditions.
