When I was at school, I sat at the ‘special needs’ desk. I have ADHD and dyslexia, and I wasn’t very academic. Children with these conditions are often entrepreneurially minded, but the school system doesn’t appropriately identify their talents and abilities.

The school system prepares children to be employees. It doesn’t prepare them to invest or form businesses. This means that children who are not academically gifted often think their only option is manual work, when they may have a talent for business.
Even those children that do want to be employees require financial education. Simply saving money in the bank means that their purchasing power will be eaten away by inflation. Everyone needs to know how to invest their money, even just to live a comfortable life.

Schools are made to deal with large numbers of children. They are not created to find the individual skills and talents of your children specifically.

A lot of things that are frowned upon in school are good things in the business world. For example, in my school days, I paid a classmate to help me with my school work. I got in trouble for that. Today, they work for me! In the business world, delegating tasks is a necessity. In school, it is cheating!
Debate, out of the box thinking, and making mistakes are all important parts of the business world. Schools normally teach the opposite, but mine doesn’t!
