It is better to target more affluent areas for flips, because the ceiling price for houses is higher. This allows you to add significant value.
For this strategy, consider London, and similar locations!
2. The Best Places To Invest In UK Property: Buy, Refurbish, Refinance, Rent (BRRR)!
BRRR deals are slightly different. While places such as London allow you to push the value of the property up, rental yields are lower. This means properties often fail the mortgage provider’s stress test.
For BRRR properties, consider Birmingham, or areas north of Birmingham.

If you are buying an HMO (House in Multiple Occupation), you need to find areas with lots of demand, but low house prices.
Find the cheapest, busiest town near where you live. This will be the best place for you to buy an HMO. Ensure there isn’t Article 4 restrictions in place where you intend to buy.

If you are securing rent-to-rent deals for serviced accommodation, high-end locations like Cambridge, York, or Edinburgh work well.
If you are looking to buy, you could consider purchasing in areas popular with contractors, rather than tourists.
5. The Best Places To Invest In UK Property: Lease Options!
For lease option agreements, you want to find places with properties in negative equity. That means the remaining mortgage is more than the value of the property.
Places like Newcastle are good for this, as is London because property prices have crashed recently.
