1. Wealth Building Secrets: Grant Cardone!
I spent £250k to have a 3-hour mentoring session with Grant Cardone. I learnt the importance of personal branding from Grant. Attention follows money, and contacts equal contracts! I also learnt how to deal with online criticism. He taught me to put the facts on the table, and lean into criticism, rather than simply ignore it.
2. Wealth Building Secrets: Robert Kiyosaki!
I spent £50k for a one-on-one session with Robert Kiyosaki. He taught me the importance of leverage, i.e. using other people’s money! In Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Kiyosaki says the rich don’t say ‘I can’t afford this’, they say ‘how can I afford this?’. It took meeting him, and spending time with him, for this to really click!
3. Wealth Building Secrets: Lord Sugar!
I spent £4,800 to attend a group session with Lord Sugar. I told him about owning lots of small residential properties. He wasn’t impressed! He said it was too much work to maintain. I learnt that the best way to grow was with bigger deals, rather than more properties! While Lord Sugar and I have since had a public spat, I will always be grateful for this lesson!
4. Wealth Building Secrets: Gary Vaynerchuk!
I spent £10,000 sitting down in a small group session with Gary Vaynerchuk. The biggest thing I learnt from Gary is his compassion. I really believe that he cares about the people he deals with, and it isn’t just a front. He got me to see everyone I deal with as people who I want to help. It’s the right thing to do, but it is also good business!
