When interest rates were high, many traditional buy-to-let landlords found that their properties became unprofitable. I taught my students to use high cash flow strategies such a serviced accommodation, so they made money even when others were failing!
Now that rates are coming down, traditional buy-to-lets are a viable strategy again in some areas. Those using creative strategies that are already profitable will make even more!

New demand from buy-to-let landlords, and increased borrowing power from home buyers, will push prices up. This means those who act fast, before prices rise, are likely to benefit the most.

In my opinion, all indications are that rates will remain low for some time to come. Landlords will also become accustomed to the new regulatory regime, and gain the confidence to buy again.
