Samuel Leeds Featured in The Economist: A Recognised Voice in Property Education

Samuel Leeds

I am grateful to share that I was featured in The Economist, one of the most respected publications covering business, economics and finance. Being recognised by a title with that reputation is a milestone in my journey as a property investor and educator.

What they saw

The journalist attended my crash course in person and saw me book live property viewings on stage. They described me mapping out strategies “like a professor cracking a maths problem” and said I was entertaining and funny while teaching. That balance of being practical and engaging is exactly what I aim for in all my live training with mentoring throughout.

What they checked

True to form, The Economist did not take my word for anything. They spoke to students and looked into my work. With more than 20,000 people training with me each year, feedback is overwhelmingly positive. They also quoted one anonymous person who felt left behind. I have never claimed a 100% success rate. No training can promise that. What I am proud of is how many people achieve financial freedom through the academy compared with anything else in the market.

Independent data backs this up. In September 2025, Survation (the independent polling company trusted by the BBC, The Telegraph and leading UK universities) carried out a detailed survey of graduates from the Samuel Leeds Academy. Their findings showed that:

  • 86% of graduates completed a property deal within their first year of joining the academy
  • 43% had successfully completed a BRR (Buy, Refurbish, Refinance) within 12 months
  • 95% would recommend the academy to a friend

The bigger picture

The feature also discussed wider issues such as the cost of living, inequality and the challenge for ordinary people who want to build wealth. My mission is to make property education practical and accessible so people from normal backgrounds can change their situation through sound strategies and consistent action.

My take

I appreciate The Economist for giving a fair view. Parts of the piece challenged me, including my interviews with high profile figures, which is normal in journalism. I welcome scrutiny because it lets me set out the facts and restate my purpose. I help people achieve financial freedom through property, and I do it live with mentoring throughout.

What’s next

I will keep teaching, keep publishing free content and keep proving what works in today’s market. If you want to see more, explore the free resources on this site or join the next training.

Here’s to building wealth and making financial freedom possible for everyone.
