You can look for properties that have been listed for sale for an extended period on property search sites. You can also search off market, by finding empty properties in-person, and contacting the owner to make an offer.

Next, you need to buy the property. As the house will be uninhabitable you won’t be able to get a mortgage on the home.

If you do the buy, refurbish, refinance, rent (BRRR) strategy correctly, you will be able to pull all your money out of the deal in the form of a mortgage!
