Samuel Leeds School: In a recent video, I take you through the development of my latest school project in Africa. It is a private institution that provides essential financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills, alongside core subjects like maths, science, and history. It is designed to be affordable to local people, costing the equivalent of just £3 per month to attend or £10 per month for full board.
If you want to see the breakdown of costs for this inspiring project, I highly recommend watching the full video until the end. You can find the video on my YouTube channel or at the top of this page.
I think that this project will have a huge impact on the local community. In this article, I will give you 3 reasons why the Samuel Leeds School is so important. If you find this article inspiring, please consider sharing it on social media. Together, we can inspire more people to do good in the world!
1. Samuel Leeds School: Financial Education!
Financial education is very important to me. Without it, people are often stuck in a cycle of poverty. Yet in the UK and around the world, it is often not taught in the education system. This means that children are not given the opportunity to succeed in life.
The Samuel Leeds school, however, will teach financial education. This will mean that the children that attend my school will be equipped to go into their communities and make a real difference. Graduates of my school will be in a position to change their own lives, as well as having a positive impact on their local area, and Uganda in general.
2. Samuel Leeds School: Supporting Parents!
In Africa, parents work hard to support their families. But this sometimes means they need extra support caring for them. This is where having a full boarding option at prices that are affordable locally can really help. This means that the student is cared for, fed and educated for the equivalent of just £10 a month.
If the child just attends the school in the day, it's only £3 a month. This allows parents to support their children, while not over stretching their finances. This is a win-win for families and plays an important part in community life. Supporting parents is an important part of the Samuel Leeds school mission!
3. Samuel Leeds School: Upholding High Standards!
The Samuel Leeds school is a school with my name on it, therefore it will reflect my commitment to excellence. This means high educational standards, of course, but also high quality school buildings and accommodation. The school means a lot to me personally, and I will be working to ensure that everyone involved in the project shares my vision.
It is important to me that the Samuel Leeds school does things the right way and is an outstanding place for students to learn, play and grow. My school will always uphold high standards and act as an example of best practice. This will ensure that all aspects of the students’ development is nurtured, helping children grow into fully rounded and competent adults.
