Renting a property as serviced accommodation is much more profitable! When you are competing with hotels, rather than other landlords, you can charge a lot more. You can often make 3-4x more offering your property as a short-stay rental, compared to a standard single let.
You will need to set up systems to deal with: bookings; cleaners; and maintenance, however. It is therefore important to get some property training, and have a good support system in place when starting out.
