How to be more productive

How to be more productive

In this video, you'll learn a lot of things including how to be more productive. Are you a procrastinator? It's a nonsense label really, all of us like to escape work from time to time. Whether it's property, business, marriage, love or health – there are ways to improve your success rate. One of the biggest things which holds people back is a fear of failure. Failure becomes easier to take and less of a risk if you are equipped properly. Today, you're going to take away three key items which will hold you in good stead for the rest of your life.

Firstly, let's talk about deal analysis. If you learn how to analyse and evaluate a deal or a scenario, you're already one step ahead of the competition. Forget the competition, you're one step ahead of your former self. In the context of property, this would be knowing your figures and formulas. Things like calculating the rent, the value of the property, return on investment and risk – these are all key. These are actually simple and will serve you well once you've mastered them. Gratitude

Next, it's your attitude of gratitude. If you don't have one of those, get one. Being grateful is almost as important as remembering to brush your teeth everyday. Samuel runs a company with over 40 employees – he knows how fast the organisation would turn against him if he wasn't grateful. He lacks the sense of entitlement and arrogance which means he's approachable and likeable. It makes his whole unit more productive because everybody is motivated and inspired. Sometimes all it takes for you to show gratitude is a small gesture like a phonemail or a Christmas card. Take time to honour them.

Thirdly, you need to know how to negotiate a deal. Transactions, liaisons and compromises take place in all parts of life's long journey. Your ability to conduct yourself properly and create productive dialogue is essential. It's a vital skill. You need to be able to hold your own ambitions and try to match that with the other party's wishes.

Now, if you can combine all three you're onto a winner!
