How To Find Rent to Rent Deals – The 10 Best Places

In the video above, I show you how to find a Rent to Rent deal live on my laptop. Rent to Rent is one of the best ways to create financial freedom through property with very little money. In this article, I will summarise the best 10 ways to find a rent to rent deal.

1. OpenRent

OpenRent is a site where landlords advertise their properties directly to tenants. This means you can talk to them directly and find out if they are interested in a Rent2Rent deal. OpenRent is a great place to find rent to serviced accommodation deals.

2. HMO licence list

If you are looking for Rent2HMO deals, you can find a list of all the licenced HMOs in an area on the council's website. Write to those landlords and ask if they are interested in renting the whole house to you. The key is to find tired landlords that want to earn a passive income.

3. Spareroom

Spareroom is a site where landlords advertise their properties by the room. This is another great place to find rent to HMO deals. Find properties that are a bit rundown and listings that are not boosted. Again, the objective is to find landlords that may want to hand over the property to you for a fixed monthly rent on a long-term agreement.

4. Gumtree

Gumtree is a classified ads website. You can find all types of properties on there for rent or sale. This is a good place to find rent to HMO or rent to serviced accommodation deals.

5. Facebook post

You may already know a landlord! Post something like this: “I am looking to rent a property on a corporate let. Any landlords here?”

6. Facebook Marketplace

Another great place for property deals of all kinds is Facebook Marketplace. You can go directly to the landlord and talk to them on Facebook!

7. Rightmove

Rightmove is a great site for all things property. Remember you will be speaking to an agent rather than direct to the landlord however.

8. Local letting agents

Search Google for local letting agents. Go for smaller agents a few pages down. Smaller agents are often more open to creative options such as rent to rent deals.

9. Walk-in to agents

Face-to-face is often the best way to get people to know, like and trust you. Go to letting agents and explain what you are doing and what you are looking for. Be polite, direct and know what you are talking about.

10. Networking events

Attending networking events where there will be landlords is a great place to find business. Make sure you know your stuff and have a simple, clear elevator pitch to deliver.
