I recently made a video talking about the easiest way to become a billionaire. Now, just so you can understand how much a billion is, I am way off being a multi-billionaire at the moment. I'm 32 years old, I'm a multi-millionaire, but I'm way off a multi-billionaire. I'm not even close to a billion. But I have a plan to get there, and I wanted to share it with you.
If you want to be rich, whether that is becoming a millionaire or even a billionaire, there is a simple formula you need to understand. In the video (above) I provide you with the exact blueprint for success. If you want to grow your wealth, I highly recommend watching the full video until the end. In this article, I will give you a brief overview of the easiest way to become a billionaire and how exactly I plan to do it!
1. What Is A Billionaire?
A billion pounds is a thousand million. Being a billionaire isn’t making a turnover of a billion. It's having a billion net worth, i.e. a billion pounds cash, or a billion pounds invested. So, if you sold everything and paid off all your debts, you'd be left with a billion.
I worked out recently that if I did pretty much nothing else, semi-retired, I would become a multi-billionaire before the age that I die, assuming that I live a long life. Let me explain exactly why that is the case…
2. The Easiest Way To Become A Billionaire Is Compound Interest
I'm not going to become a multi-billionaire from my property investments. It's certainly not going to be from my courses. I've lost more money as a trainer more years than I've actually made money. You know, if you look on The Sunday Times rich list, there isn’t anyone on it that got rich from selling courses!
What's the business? Well, the business is compound interest. Albert Einstein said, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.” So how am I generating compound interest…
3. Samuel Leeds Finance
My lending business (Samuel Leeds Finance) is the one that's going to make me a multi-billionaire, and I'll explain how. I saved up 11 million pounds, and I'm loaning out at the moment about a million pounds a month to my students. I charge about 1% a month (after 6 months, 1.5% a month) with a 1% entry and exit fee, which covers admin costs. It ends up about 15% net. That’s £1.65 million profit in year one. At the end of year 1, I should therefore have about £12.65 million.
Now, here is the important bit, the initial capital plus profit is then reinvested for the next year’s loans. By year two that means I will have £14.54 million and by year 10 I’ll have £44.5 million! After 40 years, it’s almost £3 billion. If I live until I’m 80, I have a £10 billion net worth!
Of course, there are some pitfalls, such as tax. However, this expense can be offset by additional profits the business could generate by lending out other people’s money as well.
This business model is only something you should consider once you have a good cash-flowing business. There is no point being a billionaire when you are 80 if you don’t have money to spend now! In the next section, I will show you how to make money right now.
